They started in earnest last night. \u00a0I had been on the verge of a few, but last night, I had a humdinger!<\/p>\n
Race nightmares.<\/p>\n
Holy Cow!<\/p>\n
If the race goes anything like last night’s dream, I may have to hang up my running shoes. \u00a0That was dreadful!<\/p>\n
I dreamed that the race start was actually inside my hotel. \u00a0That the hotel was in reality my dorm from college. \u00a0That’s actually pretty awful (I graduated from college in 1984 so I have no idea where that came from!).<\/p>\n
The race began in the hallway. \u00a0We were required to run through each and every room in the dorm\/hotel. \u00a0The rooms had adjoining doors so you had to run in a zig-zag pattern down the hallway. \u00a0The hallway was crammed with 45,000 runners. \u00a0There were people in the hallway who were not runners. \u00a0They wanted me to take things to their friends at the other end of the hall.<\/p>\n
Weird.<\/p>\n
All of a sudden, I wasn’t wearing the race shirt I had packed. \u00a0I was wearing a short sleeved cotton shirt. It was scratchy and I was chaffing. \u00a0I didn’t like the shirt but couldn’t take it off because of my bib pinned to it. \u00a0Had not choice but to keep zig-zagging down the hall.<\/p>\n
That’s when I realized that I had forgotten to use the porta-potties before the race began. \u00a0I had to go and there wasn’t a porta-potty in sight.<\/p>\n
Thank goodness I woke up and it was 6:00. \u00a0Time to get up (and use the bathroom. \u00a0HA! ).<\/p>\n
What a terrible dream!<\/p>\n
Race day HAS to be better than that. \u00a0Right!?!<\/p>\n
