MFH (My Favorite Husband) for years has been telling me tall tales about how, if the cat is in the house when we go to bed, wakes him up in the early morning hours to be let outdoors.<\/p>\n
I never believed him. \u00a0I mean, it was just a tall tale, right?<\/p>\n
Wrong.<\/p>\n
Kali, our (well, actually my daughter’s) black and caramel colored kitty, didn’t want to go outdoors last night. \u00a0She wanted to sleep curled up between my legs. \u00a0She does that sometimes. \u00a0Usually during the winter months because she’s cold. \u00a0I didn’t thing anything of it, so I didn’t kick her outside for the night.<\/p>\n
That was a mistake.<\/p>\n
About 1:30-2:00 this morning, I hear, in my ear, prrrrr. \u00a0I rolled over. \u00a0Prrrr!!!! \u00a0I ignored it. \u00a0 PRRRRR!!!!! \u00a0I harrumphed and tried to go back to sleep.<\/p>\n
Pretty soon, I felt Kali walking all up and down my back.<\/p>\n
“WAKE UP! \u00a0I want to go outdoors!” She was telling me.<\/p>\n
“No way. \u00a0I’m sleeping. \u00a0Go back to sleep.” \u00a0Was my stubborn reply.<\/p>\n
Now, next to my side of the bed is a tall wardrobe. \u00a0If she takes a running start, she can get to the top of it. \u00a0So, she did! \u00a0She got on MFH’s side of the bed and run, run run, and jumped! \u00a0Using me as a springboard.<\/p>\n
“Oomph!” I said.<\/p>\n
But I still refused to get up.<\/p>\n
Kali soon got tired of being on top of the wardrobe and decided to jump down. \u00a0On top of me.<\/p>\n
“Oomph” again. \u00a0She landed on top of me. \u00a0Was that deliberate? \u00a0Probably.<\/p>\n
“Prrrr, Prrrr, PRRRRR!!!” \u00a0She tried again.<\/p>\n
“NO WAY! \u00a0Go away!” \u00a0I said.<\/p>\n
We kept up this battle until 6:30 this morning.<\/p>\n
Who won?<\/p>\n
I’m not sure.<\/p>\n
