{"id":2611,"date":"2014-09-09T09:24:19","date_gmt":"2014-09-09T14:24:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=2611"},"modified":"2014-09-09T09:24:19","modified_gmt":"2014-09-09T14:24:19","slug":"photo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=2611","title":{"rendered":"Photo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Okay. \u00a0I admit it. \u00a0I am addicted to running.<\/p>\n<p>I am a Run Junkie. \u00a0Or maybe you could call me a RunJunkEe.<\/p>\n<p>It all started back a few years ago. \u00a0A guy I know through FB started a page with motivational running pics. \u00a0He gathered quite the following with people liking his page.<\/p>\n<p>His page became so popular that almost two years ago he started a virtual run club. \u00a0He called it RunJunkEes. \u00a0It took off like crazy! \u00a0Lots and lots of people are now a part of his virtual run club.<\/p>\n<p>A problem presented itself, though. \u00a0People travel. \u00a0Soon, people would say, &#8220;Hey, I&#8217;m going to be in such and such a town on such and such a date. \u00a0Anybody live there? \u00a0Where&#8217;s a good place to run? \u00a0Are there any races during the time I will be there?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This was happening a lot.<\/p>\n<p>He saw the need to develop local chapters. \u00a0There are now 40(?) chapters around the world. \u00a0This has been very helpful for the people traveling and it has created a lot of friendships as people who are local get to meet each other and run together. \u00a0It has been a good thing.<\/p>\n<p>A little over a year ago, he approached me about started a chapter in my state, Mississippi. \u00a0Now, Mississippi gets a bum rap as far a anything fitness goes. \u00a0We are one of the fattest states in the nation. \u00a0There are not a lot of runners in our state. \u00a0The running community is small. \u00a0So, I thought about it for a while and decided that, yes, I would commit to running the state chapter.<\/p>\n<p>The Mississippi Chapter of RunJunkEes is now the largest of all the Chapters! \u00a0Bells and Whistles to the running community in my state! \u00a0We may be the fattest state in the country but we have the most loyal runners in the world!<\/p>\n<p>All of this to say, that he released a pic of me running from last winter on the board yesterday.
