I am a member of one particular running group. \u00a0This group is located on the Gulf Coast. \u00a0Lots of very nice runners there.<\/p>\n
I have never met these people in person, mind you, but because we talk everyday online, you feel like you know them and can trust them.<\/p>\n
One of these individuals was a manager of a highly reputable shop also located on the Gulf Coast. \u00a0This manager gave me some pretty good discounts on shoes and running gear. \u00a0Super nice guy!<\/p>\n
We would chat about this and that. \u00a0Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. \u00a0Running people are pretty cool that way.<\/p>\n
A rumor started circulating that this person had been arrested. \u00a0For theft!<\/p>\n
To be honest, this took me totally by surprise! \u00a0It did a lot of other runner, too!!! \u00a0Runners are a loyal group. \u00a0You don’t dis runners, though. \u00a0Not. Cool.<\/p>\n
Well, today, I found the arrest report. \u00a0Somebody posted it to FB. \u00a0I was deeply saddened by this. \u00a0You can read it for yourself if you are so inclined. \u00a0I guess I need to be more careful of who I trust. \u00a0Time to grow up a bit and take off the rose colored glasses. \u00a0*sigh<\/p>\n
