Tonight kicks off a new season of college football.<\/p>\n
Each year for Christmas, my parents, my sister and I go in together and get MFH (My Favorite Husband) season tickets to all the home Mississippi State University (MSU) football games. \u00a0He seems to enjoy going to the games. \u00a0This means that I have to like football. \u00a0Kinda.<\/p>\n
#1 Son is a student at MSU also. \u00a0This means I have to like MSU football even more.<\/p>\n
I like football! \u00a0I really do. \u00a0Of all the team sports out there, I would say that football is the most interesting. \u00a0Baseball…really, really boring. \u00a0Basketball? \u00a0The shoes squeak too much. \u00a0Distracting. \u00a0Ice Hockey~in Mississippi!?! \u00a0You’re joking, right? \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n
When I was a little girl, I was fascinated by football players. \u00a0I would study them intently when my Dad was watching on the television. \u00a0I could never figure out where they found so many guys with such HUGE shoulders! \u00a0I never saw people like that in real life. \u00a0I did not know, at the time, that they players wore padding. \u00a0Duh.<\/p>\n
Now that we live in the South, we are in SEC territory. \u00a0For the next few months, people will be RABID about football. \u00a0High school football, college football, pro football. \u00a0Football. \u00a0Football. Football…<\/p>\n
There will be lots of HAIL STATE vs ROLL TIDE where I live. \u00a0 MSU is 30 minutes from my house. \u00a0Alabama (The Crimson Tide) is one hour from where I live. \u00a0One must choose sides carefully.<\/p>\n
Seeing as my sister, BIL (He’s a nuclear physicist at MSU) both work at State, #1 Son attends State and MFH has season tickets to State football…I guess I’d better go with the flow…HAIL STATE!!!<\/p>\n
Kick off is tonight at 6:45 PM. \u00a0Get It!<\/p>\n
