Yesterday I told you how MFH (My Favorite Husband), #1 Son and I went shopping. \u00a0We had a great time and I found some awesome deals.<\/p>\n
The thing I did not tell you about was the pair of “Recovery Flipflops” I bought for wearing after my daily runs.<\/p>\n
My feet are usually screaming at me the rest of the day after a long run. \u00a0I hate wearing shoes so my choice is flipflops. \u00a0My feet get hot and I just cannot abide wearing shoes. \u00a0That’s just me.<\/p>\n
I have been wearing a pair of Nike Flipflops. \u00a0They have that memory sole. \u00a0They were “okay” but that’s about it. \u00a0I have been living in them and they were dead in the water. \u00a0Time for something new.<\/p>\n
Seeing as we will be spending three days at the Iowa State Fair towards the end of the week, I was keeping my eye out for something new. \u00a0Something that would keep my feet relatively happy. \u00a0I found something! \u00a0They are Sanuk(?). \u00a0They are solid black so they will go with everything AND they have some arch support..they are not board flat. \u00a0My feet seem a bit happier. \u00a0Time will tell.<\/p>\n
Y’all know that I have recently lost 3 toenails…I have ugly runners feet. \u00a0I probably should wear real shoes to hide them instead of leaving them out in the open for people to see.<\/p>\n
So, I was walking around the store a little bit to see if I liked the flipflops when the sales lady says to me: \u00a0“I really like your nail polish!”<\/p>\n
I have this incredibly bright blue nail polish on my toes. \u00a0I am using this color for two reasons. \u00a01) \u00a0To make me look like I actually have 10 toenails and 2) \u00a0To cover up by black toenails. \u00a0It is the only color I have found that totally covers the black toenails.<\/p>\n
I absentmindedly thanked her and replied without thinking, “Yes, it covers my black toenails.”<\/p>\n
The look on her face was priceless!!! \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n
“You have black toenails!?! \u00a0How do you get black toenails!?!” \u00a0She kind of squeaked.<\/p>\n
That’s when I realized that I probably grossed this poor girl out. \u00a0Oops!<\/p>\n
I mumbled something about running and kind of let my reply trail off……..<\/p>\n
I paid and left as soon as I could.<\/p>\n
