So, I’m sure by now y’all have figured out that I am on vacation. \u00a0MFH (My Favorite Husband), #1 Son and I left Mississippi Friday morning at early o’clock and drove 17 hours to reach my In-Laws house in Des Moines, Iowa. \u00a0We had a lovely drive, mostly good weather and enjoyed each others company as we toddled down the road.<\/p>\n
Yesterday, we didn’t do much of anything. \u00a0We just spent our time catching up on news and resting. \u00a0I went on a run, too.<\/p>\n
This morning, a run, church and then shopping!!!<\/p>\n
Church was really nice. \u00a0We went to the church we attended when we lived here 18 years ago. \u00a0There were some familiar faces and we enjoyed see people we hadn’t seen in a very long time.<\/p>\n
We came back to the In-Laws, had some lunch and then went to Jordan Creek Mall. \u00a0It is a relatively new mall. \u00a0It is big! \u00a0It has two stories and good stores! \u00a0And bargains!!!<\/p>\n
I don’t know if you remember me telling you about how I like to shop at The Loft? \u00a0They have a nice petite section and I found some shorts and tanks there at the beginning of the summer up in Tupelo, Mississippi. \u00a0They do not have any more in my size (Size 0). \u00a0I have been sad that I had not bought any more of them at that time because I really, really like them.<\/p>\n
So, we are walking through the mall today and low and behold, there was The Loft! \u00a0Cool Beans!!! \u00a0AND they were having a sale! \u00a0Selected items already marked down were marked down an additional 50%. \u00a0I went in.<\/p>\n
There were my shorts! \u00a0In the color I liked. \u00a0IN MY SIZE! \u00a0AND they were the ones marked down an additional 50%! \u00a0I couldn’t believe my good fortune! \u00a0PLUS, the tanks I bought earlier this summer ($16.00 a shirt) were marked down to $5.00 plus an additional 50% off. \u00a0I walked out of there with three pair of shorts and two new tanks. \u00a0I spent $50.00. \u00a0I was pretty please with myself!<\/p>\n
I am frugal? \u00a0Doesn’t matter. \u00a0I have a Loft charge card and I was happy to have the opportunity to use it! \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n
MFH had not come into the store with me. \u00a0He had the opportunity but passed. \u00a0He was pleased that I had bought them, though. \u00a0He’s a good guy about things like that. \u00a0I’m a lucky girl and I think I’ll keep him. \u00a0 \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
