#1 Son bought a baby bunny about a year ago. \u00a0This bunny was the cutest little thing you have ever seen. \u00a0He was white with brown and black spots. \u00a0Adorable! \u00a0#1 Son christened the bunny, Loki.<\/p>\n
Over the course of the year, Loki grew. \u00a0A lot. \u00a0He outgrew two different “Bunny Boxes.” \u00a0On our third trip to Pet Smart for another “Bunny Box,” we decided to get Loki the largest “Bunny Box” they made. \u00a0It was obvious to us that he was going to be a BIG bunny.<\/p>\n
Loki barely fits his bunny box but he really likes it. \u00a0I think that is because the only time he is in it is to eat, drink and sleep.<\/p>\n
Loki’s favorite part of his box is the shelf. \u00a0His shelf sits high on the side of his box. \u00a0It has a “slide” attached to the shelf. \u00a0Loki likes to sleep on the shelf and then slide down the slide on his bunny tummy to get down. \u00a0What a silly rabbit!<\/p>\n
Now that Loki is living at our house, we have “given” him a room that has been Bunny Proofed. \u00a0This room is our back room. \u00a0The Solarium. \u00a0There are no electrical cords for him to chew. \u00a0Nothing that we would care if he chewed it into splinters. \u00a0It is a safe room. \u00a0Loki loves it! \u00a0He hops around there to his little hearts delight all day long.<\/p>\n
Now, when #1 Son said that he wanted a bunny, I wasn’t so sure about that. \u00a0I mean, what does a rabbit do? \u00a0They really don’t have much in the way of facial expression. \u00a0They hop around a bit. \u00a0They poop a lot. \u00a0That’s really about it! \u00a0Boy, did Loki prove me wrong.<\/p>\n
Loki is a very sociable bunny. \u00a0When you walk into the Solarium, he comes out from his hiding place and does his “Happy Bunny Dance.” \u00a0Loki hops up high into the air, as high as he can hop! \u00a0Then, he begins hopping around and around and around your legs! \u00a0He is soooooo happy to see you! \u00a0After he has hopped around your legs, he begins to nudge your ankles with his nose. \u00a0This is your cue to pet him and maybe pick him up. \u00a0He is rather fussy about who he will allow to pick him up (I am one of the people who can do this). \u00a0If he is in an exceptionally good mood, he will give you a bunny kiss and nestle his head in your neck. \u00a0All this is the Happy Bunny Dance.<\/p>\n
As you all know, we have two cats. \u00a0These cats are exception hunters. \u00a0They like to bring us “presents” almost every. single. day. \u00a0Kali is our rodent specialist and Castro specializes in birds. \u00a0Kali has not shown hardly any interest in Loki at all. \u00a0I have been surprised. \u00a0Castro, however, has shown a great deal of interest in Loki. \u00a0This makes me nervous. \u00a0At least it used to.<\/p>\n
See, we were in the Solarium watching Netflix and Loki was being his cute bunny self, when Castro decided he wanted to “meet” Loki. \u00a0They got nose to nose. \u00a0This was more interesting than Netflix.<\/p>\n
Castro was starting to crouch but Loki held his ground, nose wiggling and ears held high.<\/p>\n
Castro reached out with a front paw, claws extended. \u00a0Loki thumped his back leg. \u00a0Loudly!!! \u00a0Scared Castro to death!!!<\/p>\n
Castro hissed, proofed out his tail and ran!<\/p>\n
Castro has not bothered Loki since.<\/p>\n
Poor cat. \u00a0Served by a rabbit. \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n
