I took off for my 8 miler a little bit later than usual. \u00a0Well, for a Monday it really was not that late.<\/p>\n
Monday morning at 7:00 am is the day I call MIL for our weekly “chat.” \u00a0We talk for a good hour. It is like we take a big breath at the beginning of the hour and talk non-stop until 8:00 and we run out of breath! \u00a0We have a great time! \u00a0We enjoy each other’s company and look forward to Monday mornings.<\/p>\n
This morning’s run, then, started closer to 8:30. \u00a0Usually, I am out the door 7ish. \u00a0It warms up quick here and I like to beat the heat as best I can.<\/p>\n
So, I was toddling down the road, well, actually up the road because today’s route was hilly. \u00a0Anyway, I was running along Evans Road when in the distance I was a person coming towards me. \u00a0As we got closer, I could tell it was a lady. \u00a0She was sweating like crazy!<\/p>\n
When I left the house, it was already in the 80’s F. and this lady was dressed in long sweat pants and a sweat shirt\/jacket! \u00a0Good grief! \u00a0I was just wearing running shorts and a sports bra and I was melting!!!<\/p>\n
Well, we finally got within “shouting distance” and I greeted her. \u00a0I’d never seen her before. \u00a0We ended up chatting for close to 20 minutes. \u00a0She is from Laramie, Wyoming. \u00a0Just visiting for a week. \u00a0Nice lady! \u00a0Does not know how to dress for Mississippi weather, though!<\/p>\n
Found out that she teaches Judo! \u00a0Interesting. \u00a0Also found out she has had chickens in the past. \u00a0We actually have a lot in common. \u00a0That is probably why we talked for so long.<\/p>\n
She is planning on walking every morning so I will probably run into her again. \u00a0A little company is a nice pick me up when out running by yourself. \u00a0I look forward to running into her again!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
