Today was been a great day! \u00a0It has also be rather…strange.<\/p>\n
This morning, I actually woke up! I mean, there was no staggering around the house towards the kitchen trying to make coffee in my sleep. \u00a0I was awake!<\/p>\n
Last night MFH (My Favorite Husband) and I watched an old spaghetti western, Fist Full of Dollars, starring Clint Eastwood. \u00a0That movie ran until 10:00 pm. \u00a0We went to bed a full hour later than usual. \u00a0We were tired and feel asleep pretty quick.<\/p>\n
During the night, I had charlie horses in my left leg. \u00a0They woke me up three times. \u00a0Ouch! \u00a0I was sure that my leg would be sore this morning because of that, but I woke up “Bright eyed and bushy tailed.” \u00a0Not sore and ready to go.<\/p>\n
Today was a rest day so that meant errands. \u00a0I needed to go to the Pharmacy, WalMart and the Co-op. \u00a0I fiddled around online for an hour, showered and then headed on out the door with #1 son. \u00a0We ran our errands, grabbed some lunch and came home.<\/p>\n
As we came in the door, MFH met us and said, “A newspaper reporter is going to come over in 2 hrs to take some pics for the newspaper.”<\/p>\n
Yikes!!! \u00a0The house was a mess!!!<\/p>\n
See, in training for this 50K, I have had to prioritize some things as my mileage has increased and the race gets closer. \u00a0MFH and I discussed it and decided that the house did NOT have to be as “sterilized” as I like it to be. \u00a0It has about killed me, but I do not scrub down the house every day like I used to. \u00a0I sweep the floors, run the sweeper on the carpets, do the laundry, cook, etc, every day like I always have but as far as the deep cleaning? \u00a0Nope. And it looks it, too. \u00a0Drives me nuts.<\/p>\n
When MFH said that a stranger was going to see my house I about died! \u00a0Oh NO!!! \u00a0It looks awful! \u00a0I haven’t dusted since Monday!!! \u00a0So…I went on a furious cleaning spree. \u00a0I was a blur I was cleaning so fast (got it done, too). \u00a0I had 30 minutes to spare. \u00a0The newspaper person came, did not even come into the house! \u00a0She took her pics of MFH and left. \u00a0It was rather anticlimactic. \u00a0But the house was presentable!<\/p>\n
So, that was that.<\/p>\n
I guess it was about a month ago, MFH joined MFP. \u00a0He is doing well, too! \u00a0I have him on my FL. \u00a0He is not as sociable as I am but there is no law that says he has to! \u00a0Today, #1 son signed up. \u00a0He has decided that he would like to lose about 15 pounds. \u00a0I fired off a FR to him once he had his account set up. \u00a0Support is crucial to success. \u00a0At least that is how I feel. \u00a0I wish him the best!!!<\/p>\n
Now, MFH and #1 son are in Starkville. \u00a0They are paying the final rent payment on #1 sons apartment. \u00a0He will be living with us a little bit while he is a student at MSU (Mississippi State University). \u00a0He re-enrolled last week. \u00a0Changed his major from Meteorology to Communications (Journalism). \u00a0He has very strong writing skills and I think he will do well!!!<\/p>\n
The day is almost done. \u00a0Whew! \u00a0Soon, it will be “Bedtime for Birdies” and I will shoo the chickens into the tractor for the evening. \u00a0Paxton likes to be on his zipline while I do that. \u00a0He “supervises” the chickens comings and goings…from the safety of his zipline (He’s the biggest chicken of them all). \u00a0The cats, Kali and Castro, usually help, too. \u00a0I think they really are secretly hoping that a chicken gets loose and they get a tasty treat!<\/p>\n
Tomorrow is the 4th of July. \u00a0Nothing special planned here. \u00a0We do have some fireworks so we will be making things go “BANG!” tomorrow evening. \u00a0I plan on a medium sized run in the morning but that’s about it. \u00a0Saturday, the 5th, is my nephew’s 16th birthday so we will be doing celebrating that day instead.<\/p>\n
