MFH (My Favorite Husband) is sooooooo funny!!!<\/p>\n
We (MFH, #1 son and myself) drove to Caledonia, Mississippi, this afternoon for an ice cream stop. \u00a0(It was delicious, btw). \u00a0It was a lovely day for a drive and we had a very nice time. \u00a0The ice cream shop has changed their hot fudge…not as good as it used to be.<\/p>\n
On our return trip, we were all chatting away about various things. \u00a0Just being silly and enjoying each others company.<\/p>\n
We turned onto our road and passed the new house that they just finished building. \u00a0The neighbors moved into it a couple of weeks ago.<\/p>\n
It is a beautiful brick house. \u00a0Big! \u00a0They just planted a few trees and laid sod out front. \u00a0Really looks nice…except for the shutters. \u00a0Those shutters are a fail. \u00a0They put the shutters up last. \u00a0They are a very dark brown and a rustic looking, roughish wood, kinda ugly dark brown. \u00a0I do not like them. They do not match the style of the house at all.<\/p>\n
As we passed, I said out loud, “Those shutters are a fail.”<\/p>\n
Everybody in the car agreed with me. \u00a0They really were an unfortunate choice.<\/p>\n
As we went around the curve, MFH said that the next house had those “Decorative shutters. \u00a0They don’t do anything. \u00a0They are awful!”<\/p>\n
Well, the house we were discussing is also a dark brick with white shutters. \u00a0It looks very, very nice and I said so.<\/p>\n
“Nope.” \u00a0Declared MFH. \u00a0Decorative shutters are awful!<\/p>\n
I replied, “Sweetie, WE have decorative shutters on OUR house.”<\/p>\n
“No, we don’t!” He said.<\/p>\n
“I replied that, “Yes, we do!”<\/p>\n
He was adamant that we did not have any shutters at all on our house.<\/p>\n
We finished coming around the bend and could see the house. \u00a0Sure enough, there were dark green shutters framing the windows on the front of the house.<\/p>\n
“Augh! \u00a0We DO have shutters on our house! \u00a0That is awful!” \u00a0exclaimed MFH.<\/p>\n
#1 son and I laughed until we cried. \u00a0That was probably one of the funniest things ever!!!<\/p>\n
“At least the house was cheap.” was all MFH could say in return.<\/p>\n
