Paxton and I are having a battle of the wills at the moment.<\/p>\n
Paxton has a favorite “toy”. \u00a0It is a real \u00a0(honest!) traffic cone. \u00a0He likes to drag it around the house and shake it and chew on it. \u00a0What he really like to do with it is have you drop treats down the middle of it. \u00a0He likes to flip it over and eat the treats.<\/p>\n
Here’s the story:<\/p>\n
I just sat down at my laptop intending to get caught up on the days events. \u00a0Paxton started talking to me. \u00a0He makes these funny noises. \u00a0Tilts his head back \u00a0and says something between an “Arroo, Arroo, Arroo and Boow, woow, woow.” \u00a0I, of course mimic him and we have this conversation. \u00a0It is a game we like to play.<\/p>\n
I know exactly what he wants. \u00a0He wants something to eat!<\/p>\n
A quick peek at his food dish tells me that he still has not eaten his breakfast. \u00a0He is hoping that I do not notice this fact and that I will just give him some treats. \u00a0HA! \u00a0I am no dumb bunny!<\/p>\n
So, I say to him, “Paxton, you have not eaten your puppy food. \u00a0No T-R-E-A-T.”<\/p>\n
You have to spell the word “treat” or you have lost the battle.<\/p>\n
He gives me this stubborn look of “Oh, yea? \u00a0You and what army???”<\/p>\n
I ignored him and went back to my laptop.<\/p>\n
He starts talking to me again. \u00a0I still ignore him. \u00a0Then I hear, “Thud, Thunk, Bam. Arrooo.”<\/p>\n
Okay, I’ll bite. \u00a0What is he up to?<\/p>\n
He had carried his traffic cone across the living room and was trying to lift it onto my lap. \u00a0Silly dog.<\/p>\n
