Today has been a huge NSV! \u00a0Let me tell you a story and see if you agree.<\/p>\n
4 1\/2 years ago, MFH (My Favorite Husband) and I moved to Mississippi. \u00a0We were relocating from Colorado where we had lived since 1996. \u00a0Our children were born in Chicago and except for a brief stint in Iowa, do not remember anything except living in Colorado. \u00a0Colorado was home for them.<\/p>\n
The kids completed their High School years and entered college. \u00a0We bid them a fond farewell and left them in Colorado for Mississippi. \u00a0It was self preservation for us more than anything else. \u00a0Colorado was a harsh place.<\/p>\n
When we arrived in Mississippi, I was very ill. \u00a0MFH tells me now that he did not expect me to be alive in five more years. \u00a0I was very heavy. \u00a0I was on 13 different medications. \u00a0It was not a happy time.<\/p>\n
Mississippi was kind to us. \u00a0I found new Doctors. \u00a0One in particular gave me a new lease on life. \u00a0I owe a great deal to this man.<\/p>\n
I have a chronic condition. \u00a0It is something that I will have with me all my life. \u00a0That is okay. \u00a0I have accepted that and have learned to live with it. \u00a0All is well…most of the time. \u00a0HA! \u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Today, I had a follow up with that particular Doctor. \u00a0He has gradually taken me from the 13 medications I was taking when we first moved here down to two. \u00a0Pretty awesome, right!?!<\/p>\n
Well, today, he took away one more!!! \u00a0How awesome is that!?! \u00a0The last one I will always be on. \u00a0Nothing can be done about that. \u00a0But hey, he took away the expensive one! \u00a0Bells and Whistles! \u00a0The one he took away was close to $500.00 a month! \u00a0Think of all the things you can buy with an extra $500.00!!!<\/p>\n
Shopping!!! \u00a0 HA! \u00a0Well, maybe not that. \u00a0Maybe pay some bills. \u00a0That is rather dull but practical. \u00a0I am sure the people to whom we owe money would appreciate it, though \u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
So, that is my NSV. \u00a0Only ONE medication. \u00a0I can hardly stand it I am so excited!!!<\/p>\n
…and who says nothing good happens on Mondays?<\/p>\n
