Back on January 2, I mentioned to you that I had ordered four, three pound packages of honey bees plus queens for each package. \u00a0If you do math real quick, you will find that adds up to twelve pounds of bees. \u00a0That is a lot of bees!<\/p>\n
At that time, I had also mentioned to you my Postal Carriers aversion to delivering said bees. \u00a0I was delighting in the fact that he would have to drive around all day being serenaded by the “Hmmmm, Bzzzz” chorus of my new acquisition. \u00a0 This was going to be fun!<\/p>\n
Early this morning I received a phone call from his substitute. \u00a0He was out for the day and she was taking over his route. \u00a0She is a very nice lady.<\/p>\n
“Your bees arrived.” \u00a0She told me.<\/p>\n
I was delighted!<\/p>\n
“You are one of the last people on my route. \u00a0Will these bees be okay for that long?” \u00a0She asked me.<\/p>\n
The weather was only supposed to get to 60 F. today so I told her that the bees would be just fine.<\/p>\n
A few hours later, I was out running an errand with my son. \u00a0My phone rang again. \u00a0I answered it. \u00a0It was the lady Postal Carrier.<\/p>\n
“I’m at your house.” \u00a0She said.<\/p>\n
I was surprised. \u00a0It was only 10:00 am!<\/p>\n
“I am afraid of the bees.” \u00a0She said. \u00a0“Can I just leave them on your front porch?”<\/p>\n
I tried really hard not to laugh into the phone.<\/p>\n
“That would be just fine.” \u00a0I told her.<\/p>\n
She was very grateful and said “Thank you” over and over and over.<\/p>\n
Poor lady. \u00a0She really is a nice lady. \u00a0I wonder if my guy Postal Carrier knew the bees were coming today and took the day off on purpose? \u00a0Hmmm….. \u00a0 \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
