This morning was running group. \u00a0This meant getting up around 3:00(ish) and getting a few things accomplished, then showered, fed and out the door for the 30 minute drive to where the running group meets.<\/p>\n
Running group is always a nice reprieve from running by myself. \u00a0MFH (My Favorite Husband) and I generally run together on Saturday mornings and are quickly left in the dust. \u00a0That is okay. \u00a0We have some elite runners in our group and it is fun to see them zoom off. \u00a0I think to myself, “Someday, I’ll be able to keep with them for a mile or so.” \u00a0But that is, alas, just a dream \u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
We ran this morning with another person as far as the first water stop. \u00a0He was going to run the entire route and we were going to turn back and go to the house. \u00a0The water stops are generally 3.50-4.00 miles apart. \u00a0Anyway, this person is a person we have been wanting to talk to for the better part of a week.<\/p>\n
This person, who will remain nameless, is a Mathematician\/Rabbi. Super, duper nice guy! \u00a0We have been wanting to talk to him about being on the board of our Non-profit: \u00a0Classic Book Radio Corporation (http:\/\/www.wmfhlp.org\/). \u00a0He listened and was excited about what we are doing with our little project! \u00a0He agreed, too! \u00a0How about that!?! \u00a0Bells and Whistles!<\/p>\n
So where things stand on our Non-Profit. \u00a0Right now, MFH and myself are the original board members for the Non-Profit. \u00a0We have added a banker and the Mathematician\/Rabbi. \u00a0We are waiting word on another person(s). \u00a0After that, I believe our board will be complete.<\/p>\n
Why are we doing this!?! \u00a0I thought you would never ask. \u00a0We are applying for\u00a0501(c)3 status with the IRS. \u00a0All donations will be tax deductible that way! \u00a0Cool beans for people who are feeling generous. \u00a0This means some changes to our by-laws and Non-Profit structure. \u00a0The IRS frowns upon a husband and wife being the sole board members. \u00a0They are afraid that the couple will raise some funds and run off to a tropical island with the proceeds or something.<\/p>\n
We are more than happy to comply and are dotting our i’s and crossing our t’s to make sure that all is above board. \u00a0It is a ticklish business. \u00a0Just think, all we wanted to do was start a Low Power FM radio station and stream its content (audio books) world wide. \u00a0And here we are! \u00a0A lot has happened since September!!!<\/p>\n
So, yes. \u00a0We had an awesome run this morning! \u00a0It was a beautiful day for a run. \u00a0We gained a board member. \u00a0We logged some miles. \u00a0Talked with some awesome people at the running group. \u00a0Came home and took a nap. \u00a0All in all, a great Saturday!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
