Ka-Boom!!!<\/p>\n
That is what our weather did all night last night…well into the morning hours. \u00a0We were under a sever thunderstorm warning from around 1:00 am-9:00 am. \u00a0A long time.<\/p>\n
I enjoy a nice thunderstorm. \u00a0The lightening flashes light up the sky. \u00a0The rolling sound of thunder. \u00a0How the buds on the trees take on a bright green hue. It is pretty. \u00a0It is exhilarating.<\/p>\n
Paxton, however, would disagree with me.<\/p>\n
Paxton is such a weenie. \u00a0What a sissy of a dog! \u00a0For all of his ferociousness when people come to visit, he is chicken.<\/p>\n
Last night, Paxton was sound asleep on his cushion by my side of the bed. \u00a0The very first boom of thunder, and Zoom! \u00a0Off he ran to hide in the hall bathroom. \u00a0His preferred hiding place is under my husband’s desk in the office but MFH (My Favorite Husband) had pushed in his chair when he left the office yesterday and there was no room for poor, pudgy Paxton to get under the desk. \u00a0The hall bathroom would have to suffice.<\/p>\n
The call of Paxton’s cushion was strong, so, when there was a lull in the weather, he would come back and snuggle down into his cushion again.<\/p>\n
Ka-Boom! \u00a0and off Paxton would run. \u00a0The tags on his collar going “jingle, jingle, jingle” as he ran from the room. \u00a0There he would cower on the bath mat in the hall bathroom.<\/p>\n
Pretty soon, I would hear, “Jingle, jingle, jingle” and a puppy sigh as he settled back onto his cushion.<\/p>\n
Ka-Boom! \u00a0“Jingle, jingle, jingle….”<\/p>\n
We did that all. night. long.<\/p>\n
Poor dog is tired. \u00a0So am I!<\/p>\n
Tonight’s weather promises to be tame. \u00a0Maybe we can get some sleep?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
