Exciting times this morning!<\/p>\n
I ran the opposite side of the frontage road this morning. \u00a0The North side. \u00a0I told myself that it would be quiet. \u00a0There is not much traffic on that side. \u00a0There are very few businesses and a restaurant that does not open until 5:00 pm so the road would be mine for the taking. \u00a0Awesome!<\/p>\n
The day was perfect! \u00a0It was overcast so I did not have the sun beating down on me. \u00a0It was about 60F. \u00a0The humidity was kinda high but I had some Gatorade with me, so all was well.<\/p>\n
The Shell station right off of Highway 82 was the perfect place to start. \u00a0I parked in the back of the Shell station, did not want to get towed while I was gone, and took off to the exit for the Golden Triangle Regional Airport. \u00a0That was just a hair over six miles away.<\/p>\n
Toddling along, enjoying the day when all of a sudden I noticed some syringes on the side of the road. \u00a0Hmmm….I thought. \u00a0I kept on running.<\/p>\n
Then, I noticed a pipe. Hmmm….I thought again. \u00a0Then there were some deflated balloons with nice, neat little knots tied in them. \u00a0Hmmm….Somebody tossed their stash and tossed it in a hurry!<\/p>\n
I crested a hill and low and behold there were the flashing blue lights of a state Trooper and a car pulled over. \u00a0The Trooper appeared to be checking out said drivers license.<\/p>\n
All of a sudden…ZOOM!!!!! The car took off like a bat out of hell!!! \u00a0The Trooper hopped into his car and ZOOM!!! \u00a0The siren went on and both of them were G.O.N.E.<\/p>\n
Wow!!!<\/p>\n
I think that the “Paraphernalia” belonged to that motorist.<\/p>\n
I just kept on running. \u00a0Did not see hide nor hair of either of them for the remainder of my run. \u00a0But, boy! \u00a0That was exciting! \u00a0And here I thought today’s run was going to be a quiet run. \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
