I know the saying is “Third time’s the charm,” but I am really hoping for second times the charm.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow I am going to attempt to run the Old Highway. \u00a0I am going to try to run the Old Highway without falling down.<\/p>\n

MFH (My Favorite Husband) and I drove the New Highway this morning on our way home from church. \u00a0The New Highway runs parallel to the Old Highway. \u00a0I was able to check out the condition of the Old Highway as we drove past it.<\/p>\n

The road bed looks the same as the time I ran it last week. \u00a0The time I fell down. \u00a0They have not done any work on the surface of the old road. \u00a0That was not my concern. \u00a0My concern was the bridges.<\/p>\n

I had noticed that they had large road equipment by the bridges. \u00a0I was afraid that they had ripped up the floor of the bridge bed. \u00a0As we drove by, I found that the bridge decking was still intact. \u00a0The only part missing was the guard rails.<\/p>\n

So….<\/p>\n

If I leave at early o’clock tomorrow morning and get my miles in, I should be able to get back and forth across those bridges before they rip up the decking. \u00a0That will keep me on my toes!<\/p>\n
