{"id":2307,"date":"2014-03-19T14:58:50","date_gmt":"2014-03-19T19:58:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=2307"},"modified":"2014-03-19T14:58:50","modified_gmt":"2014-03-19T19:58:50","slug":"trivia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=2307","title":{"rendered":"Trivia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First things first: \u00a0The baby chickens made it through the night. \u00a0They are fine. \u00a0They did not think they were fine, but they were. \u00a0We had to shove them down the ladder this morning so they could go down to where the food was and after that, they were happy.<\/p>\n<p>Silly chickens.<\/p>\n<p>I had a 10 miler scheduled for this morning. \u00a0In light of that, I decided on waffles for breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>When we eat waffles, we put a very thin layer of peanut butter on the waffle instead of butter. \u00a0Then very warm syrup over the top. \u00a0Tastes kinda like caramel! \u00a0Mmmm!!!<\/p>\n<p>I did not eat very much seeing as I had to run 10 miles but it was tasty and fueled me perfectly for this mornings run. \u00a0Plus~the chickens got the leftover waffles! \u00a0Win-win!!!<\/p>\n<p>The run this mornings was wonderful! \u00a0I was able to maintain a 12 minute mile pace the entire run. \u00a0Very consistent. \u00a0I ended up going 10.20 miles in 2:04. \u00a0For me, that is fabulous!<\/p>\n<p>I was happy that my last run on the new highway went so well.<\/p>\n<p>The construction guys were out in force today on the new highway. \u00a0Usually, you see one guy working and six guys standing around holding shovels. \u00a0Not today! \u00a0Everybody was working. \u00a0Deadline. \u00a0They have to open the highway tomorrow! \u00a0Burning daylight!<\/p>\n<p>Saw familiar faces in the construction crew. \u00a0They waved as I ran by. \u00a0Tooted their horns. \u00a0Did not mind me running the road this one last time. \u00a0They are good guys.<\/p>\n<p>Talked to MFH (My Favorite Husband) last night about getting some pepper spray for my long runs. \u00a0I will be doing some substantial runs by myself. \u00a0Previously, I ran them on the new highway but with it opening, I will have to run them on secluded rural roads. \u00a0So, I wanted to get some pepper spray.<\/p>\n<p>A girl cannot be too careful.<\/p>\n<p>MFH thought that it was a good idea. \u00a0Today, I will be ordering some.<\/p>\n<p>In a couple of weeks, I will be getting my shipment of 12 pounds of bees in the mail! \u00a0I cannot wait until the postal carrier has to deliver them! \u00a0HA! \u00a0He is so afraid of those bees! \u00a0 \u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Paxton, the dog, has been well behaved lately. \u00a0I hope he is not getting sick or anything!<\/p>\n<p>The cats, Kali and Castro, went to the vet yesterday. \u00a0They were due for shots. \u00a0They were disgruntled kitties! \u00a0Each cat received three shots and de-wormer. \u00a0Not popular! \u00a0BUT~they got a new piece of bling for their collars! \u00a0(Rabies tags)<\/p>\n<p>I think that is it! \u00a0I sure hope we do not have more chicken drama tonight. \u00a0I had bad dreams of bad things happening to the baby chickens during the night. \u00a0Those baby chickens will be the end of me! They are such&#8230;chickens! \u00a0Tonight, I intend to put them up in the roosting area again if they do not go up by themselves. \u00a0Show them who is boss!<\/p>\n<p>And, I think that is it! \u00a0Things have a way of happening at our house. \u00a0We keep busy. \u00a0That is a good thing!
