The Crayfish are here!!!<\/p>\n
Every year about this time, I begin watching the sign out front of Bob’s Country Bunker. \u00a0The sign will announce when Crayfish season has arrived. \u00a0And it is here!<\/p>\n
I love crayfish! Mmmm!!! \u00a0MFH (My Favorite Husband) affectionately refers to them as Mud Bugs. Either way, they are tasty!<\/p>\n
Bob’s Country Bunker boils them up with small red potatoes, some mini ears of corn, some sausages…tasty stuff. \u00a0And spicy! \u00a0Love it!<\/p>\n
I have “peeling” the crayfish down to a science. \u00a0Push, twist, pull. \u00a0Perfect!<\/p>\n
I eat the crayfish and the potato. \u00a0MFH can have the corn (cannot eat corn on the cob~dental work) and I don’t want the sausage.<\/p>\n
All of this to say, tonight is opening night at Bob’s Country Bunker for Crayfish!<\/p>\n
Why am I going on opening night? \u00a0Well, there is a shortage of crayfish this season! Yikes! \u00a0If I am not there on opening night, I might not get any~and that would be dreadful!!!<\/p>\n
So, Bob’s Country Bunker for dinner tonight. \u00a0And NO. \u00a0The real name of the establishment is NOT Bob’s Country Bunker, we just call it that because of one of our favorite movies, The Blues Brothers. \u00a0Our Bob’s Country Bunker does Not have chicken wire but it does serve beer~so they are kind of the same. \u00a0And they both have live music.<\/p>\n
