{"id":2289,"date":"2014-03-11T17:08:05","date_gmt":"2014-03-11T22:08:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=2289"},"modified":"2014-03-11T17:08:05","modified_gmt":"2014-03-11T22:08:05","slug":"im-running-in-sunshine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=2289","title":{"rendered":"I&#8217;m Running In Sunshine!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>How many of you remember that old song by Katrina and Waves~~Walking on Sunshine?<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"625\" height=\"469\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iPUmE-tne5U?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Well&#8230;today, I was running in sunshine! \u00a0It was wonderful! \u00a0All the time, I had that song going through my mind. \u00a0What a great run!!!<\/p>\n<p>I started out the run rather early. \u00a0It was chilly so I had on a long sleeved tech shirt, shorts, etc. \u00a0About a third of the way through the run, I began to get too hot. \u00a0I started to overheat! \u00a0Hmmm&#8230;this would never do. \u00a0But what to do?<\/p>\n<p>Strip!<\/p>\n<p>Yup. \u00a0Off came the shirt. \u00a0I completed the last 6 miles of my run sans shirt. \u00a0I took a sip of my Gatorade and felt better.\u00a0My pace picked back up and all was well again.<\/p>\n<p>The weather was perfect! \u00a0The sunshine was perfect! \u00a0When I got home, it was almost 70F. \u00a0Whew! \u00a0No wonder I got too warm.<\/p>\n<p>I am always self conscious of running sans shirt. \u00a0Even though I have lost a lot of weight, my tummy definitely does not look model perfect. \u00a0As my FIL is fond of saying, &#8220;It beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!&#8221; \u00a0So, I run, jiggle free at least, and hope and pray no cars pass me on my run. \u00a0 \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Training begins for the Big Butts 50K next Monday so stay tuned for training updates. \u00a018 weeks of preparation for the big race. \u00a0Let us hope that this training program does not result in a stress fracture like the last one did. \u00a0I have my fingers crossed!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How many of you remember that old song by Katrina and Waves~~Walking on Sunshine? &nbsp; Well&#8230;today, I was running in sunshine! \u00a0It was wonderful! \u00a0All the time, I had that song going through my mind. \u00a0What a great run!!!
