Last week I wrote a blog post regarding my displeasure with the race registration site, Active.com. \u00a0I believe that blog began with…Active.com. \u00a0Not a fan.<\/p>\n
The very next day, on a lark, I Googled, Active.com and my blog post was #3 in the Google listings! \u00a0Interesting, that. \u00a0Four days later, my sister was visiting and I told her about that. \u00a0She wanted to see, so we Googled, Active.com again. \u00a0Nothing. \u00a0Nada. \u00a0It had been removed or moved to the void of internet la-la land.<\/p>\n
In 12 pages of Google listings for Active.com, my blog post was NO-WHERE to be found. \u00a0Interesting, that. \u00a0Someone made someone at Active.com upset~or so it would seem.<\/p>\n
Well, today is a continuation of that blog post. \u00a0To refresh your memory, here is the link to the original blog post: \u00a0\u00a0http:\/\/www.myfitnesspal.com\/blog\/MelisRunning\/view\/active-com-630592<\/p>\n
What has changed? \u00a0Absolutely nothing.<\/p>\n
Since that original post, I have called Active.com three more times.<\/p>\n
On February 24, I spoke with Jessica. \u00a0Nothing.<\/p>\n
On February 26, I spoke with Jessica again. \u00a0She promised me a return phone call. \u00a0Nothing.<\/p>\n
On February 27, today, I spoke with Janice. \u00a0She gave me a song and a dance.<\/p>\n
I am still at square one. \u00a0I sent another email to the race director today. \u00a0He still has me registered as running this Saturday.<\/p>\n
I am annoyed. \u00a0As a matter of fact, I am beyond annoyed. \u00a0All I want is my name off the registration list and my promised refund of $95.00. \u00a0I think that they have had plenty of time to get their ducks in a row. \u00a0Do not you???<\/p>\n
So, after I post this, I am going to Google, Active.com and see if I show up. \u00a0If you Google, Active.com and see this post there, I would be very interested in knowing if it shows up or not.<\/p>\n
