Today’s Run: \u00a03.76 miles<\/p>\n
Who is back? \u00a0ME!!! \u00a0I am running again! \u00a0Bells and Whistles!<\/p>\n
My leg is feeling so much better. \u00a0I am ecstatic! \u00a0 MFH is very pleased.<\/p>\n
Yesterday, I talked him into letting me try a teeny tiny run. \u00a0Just to try out the leg. \u00a0See how it felt. \u00a0And then wait until this morning. \u00a0Try the old leg again to see what it had to say.<\/p>\n
And the leg was silent!<\/p>\n
Before crutches, my leg was practically begging me not to run. \u00a0Not to put any pressure on it whatsoever. \u00a0Believe you me, I tried very hard to be nice to it.<\/p>\n
It was the Orthopedic Dr. who put me on the crutches. \u00a0FOREVER. \u00a0Or so it seemed.<\/p>\n
As far as being a compliant patient, I have been very well behaved. \u00a0For me, that is.<\/p>\n
Really!<\/p>\n
Those crutches have been used consistently until MFH (My Favorite Husband) had his business trip last week.<\/p>\n
I knew that he was helping me out a lot but there were the little things, like carrying the plates to the table, the water glasses, etc, things that you cannot do while using the crutches. \u00a0So, I ditched them. \u00a0Period.<\/p>\n
My leg did not complain in the least!<\/p>\n
I started going for longer periods of time without the crutches until the end of the week, I was completely crutches free! \u00a0My leg does not ache anymore. \u00a0I cannot remember the last time I took an Advil for my leg. \u00a0This is wonderful!<\/p>\n
So, yesterday I did an itty bitty run. \u00a0Today, I ran a more substantial run. \u00a0I am sad to say that I am not any faster in my running than I was before but I still can run and run and run.<\/p>\n
I promised MFH how far I would go today and I kept my promise. \u00a0Tomorrow, I want to run to Schaeffer’s Chapel. That is flat and it is my most favorite run. \u00a0Ever. \u00a0It is a little over 5 miles and it is a lovely, lovely run. \u00a0After that, I will stop adding mileage for a while and let myself catch up with my activity level. \u00a0I do not want to be put right back on the injured list.<\/p>\n
I see the Ortho. Dr. March 7. \u00a0Who knows what he will say. \u00a0I guess we will find out, huh? \u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
