How many of you USE your Twitter account?<\/p>\n
I have had a Twitter account for about 2-2 1\/2 years. MelindaHoward4. I can count the number of tweets I have made on one hand. \u00a0I made them having absolutely no idea of what I was doing. \u00a0I still do not know, now, what I did.<\/p>\n
I do not “get” Twitter.<\/p>\n
My blood pressure begins to rise at the mere mention of posting a tweet. \u00a0Why? \u00a0It is pointless! How do you know if anybody even read it!?! \u00a0It is dumb. \u00a0It is boring. \u00a0I do not understand the appeal.<\/p>\n
Today, MFH (My Favorite Husband) created a Twitter account for our Radio Station, WMFH-LP. \u00a0You can reach us at Twitter \u00a0~~ \u00a0@mfhlp. \u00a0As you all know, we are in the fundraising stage of our station and time is of the essence. \u00a0MFH thought that we could get the word out to more people with Twitter.<\/p>\n
I do not disagree with him. \u00a0I am sure the more exposure, the better.<\/p>\n
Seeing that I am kinda the person who maintains most of the social media for the station, however, I have had a day of it. \u00a0ARGH@#!%#<\/p>\n
Facebook and the Twitter account absolutely refuse to link together. \u00a0I have tried everything. It should not be this difficult!<\/p>\n
So, here I am, in the comfort of my own blog, venting. \u00a0There is a comfort here. \u00a0I know how this media works. \u00a0It is simple. \u00a0I am not limited to hashtags to get peoples attention. \u00a0I am not limited to a certain number of characters. \u00a0I can talk away to my little hearts delight! \u00a0AND know if somebody actually read it or not (to a certain extent)!<\/p>\n
Twitter is for the birds. \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n
