Today’s Run: \u00a0Crutches…<\/p>\n
I am determined.<\/p>\n
I am determined not to be blue. \u00a0To not feel sorry for myself. \u00a0To not wallow in self pity.<\/p>\n
I am determined.<\/p>\n
But a great big, huge RATS!<\/p>\n
Why?<\/p>\n
I had forgotten that I had an order of brand new running shoes arriving today.<\/p>\n
I love new running shoes! \u00a0I love running in new running shoes. \u00a0Really, really I do!!!<\/p>\n
I cannot run in these new running shoes. \u00a0Not for a month, at least.<\/p>\n
Boo.<\/p>\n
Happiness is a choice!<\/p>\n
I choose to be happy.<\/p>\n
I choose to enjoy my baby chickens peeping in the back room. \u00a0I will enjoy watching them grow. \u00a0They are bigger now and they are holding their tails up~just like grown up chickens.<\/p>\n
I choose to enjoy the bunny we are babysitting. \u00a0He lets me pet him now and hold him. \u00a0He wiggles his nose a lot. \u00a0He will take his bunny treats from my hand. \u00a0Funny bunny.<\/p>\n
I choose to enjoy the cats. \u00a0They are liking cuddling with me on the sofa due to the chilly weather. \u00a0They purr a lot and fight over who gets to sleep on my lap.<\/p>\n
I even choose to enjoy Bozo~I mean Paxton, my dog. \u00a0He likes to play with me when I am on the crutches. \u00a0He barks at them and dodges them. \u00a0We have fun playing that way.<\/p>\n
Most of all, I choose to enjoy the extra time I have, from not running, with MFH (My Favorite Husband). \u00a0He has been the best~helping me with my usual household chores. \u00a0It is really hard to run the sweeper and do the laundry etc. on crutches! \u00a0He is a trooper.<\/p>\n
So, the brand new running shoes will still be there when I am healed. \u00a0This hiatus is being good for me. \u00a0I have a great many things for which to be thankful!<\/p>\n
Happiness is a choice and I choose happiness!<\/p>\n
