Today’s Run: \u00a06.00 miles<\/p>\n
I had a NSV this morning.<\/p>\n
First off, it is cold again in Mississippi. \u00a0Over the weekend, it was H.O.T. \u00a0When my husband and I ran with the running group Saturday morning and again on Sunday morning, it was in the 70’s with high humidity. \u00a0Unreal for the first two days of Winter.<\/p>\n
This morning I got up ready to sweat on my morning run, only to discover that it was cold again! \u00a0It was not really all that cold~37 F. but we had a 15 MPH North wind. \u00a0That is what made it chilly. \u00a0It is difficult to know how to dress for a run when the weather is like that. \u00a0I opted for shorts, a long sleeved tech shirt and gloves. \u00a0A happy medium, I though. \u00a0Wrong.<\/p>\n
By the time I got home, I was froze! \u00a0Close to half of that run was straight into the North wind. \u00a0You think I would plan these runs better and have chosen an East\/West route instead of North\/South. \u00a0I guess I am just an old dog and cannot be taught new tricks?<\/p>\n
Anyway, I was cold. \u00a0I took a super, duper hot shower and that even did not get me warmed up. \u00a0What to do? \u00a0What to wear the rest of the day?<\/p>\n
Usually, I wear a tank top with a cardigan over it. \u00a0It is Mississippi after all and I do not need thick, fluffy sweaters. \u00a0Today, however, I needed more than my little short sleeved cardigans. \u00a0I hesitated…<\/p>\n
In the back of my closet resides my ONE long sleeved, black cardigan. \u00a0I never wear it. \u00a0It is too small. \u00a0It will not meet in the middle so it just flops open and drives me nuts. \u00a0But it is warm! \u00a0I took it out of the closet and pulled it on.<\/p>\n
Well, how do you like that!?! \u00a0It met in the middle. \u00a0Easily! \u00a0I could button it up (if I wanted…buttoned up cardigans are nerdy).<\/p>\n
I am warm now in my kinda new, black, long sleeved cardigan. \u00a0NSV for me!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
