Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest Day<\/p>\n
I have Chickens. \u00a0I have 9 chickens. \u00a0All hens.<\/p>\n
I have five Black hens, One black and White hen and three Little Red Hens. \u00a0The little red hens are who we are going to discuss today.<\/p>\n
My hens all have names. \u00a0I have them for their ability to give me eggs, but they have names all the same. \u00a0My black hens names: \u00a0Ed Stakrispie, Diane, Hen Solo, Audrey Henburn and Rover. \u00a0My Black and White hen is Gretta and my three Little Red Hens are: \u00a0Larry, Daryl and Daryl. \u00a0The name fits the bird. \u00a0Trust me, the name really does fit the bird.<\/p>\n
Larry, Daryl and Daryl, I must admit are my favorites. \u00a0They are the last of my original 6 hens. \u00a0They have been faithful layers and are almost cuddly. \u00a0They are the first ones to greet me in the mornings and any time I come out to the coop with table scraps. \u00a0They come running out of the coop, “Cluck, Cluck, Cluck” just as happy as can be. \u00a0They are my favorites.<\/p>\n
They are also my favorites because I love their names.<\/p>\n
How many of you remember the Newhart show? \u00a0It was the second (I think) Bob Newhart sitcom. \u00a0The first one was The Bob Newhart Show.<\/p>\n
Newhart has some seriously bent characters. \u00a0It was a funny, funny, show~and a CLEAN~show! \u00a0Loved it!!! \u00a0My favorite characters were the brothers, Larry, Daryl and Daryl. \u00a0Larry did all of the talking, Daryl and Daryl did not talk. \u00a0Ever.<\/p>\n
When Larry, Daryl and Daryl would appear, Larry would always say, “Hi! \u00a0I’m Larry. \u00a0This is my brother Daryl and this is my other brother Daryl.” \u00a0The two Daryls would nod and touch their foreheads in acknowledgement of their introductions and life would go on. \u00a0Very, Very funny! \u00a0Here is a clip of their introduction:<\/p>\n
