Done!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a022 miles<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s run~22 miles. \u00a0Boom! \u00a0Done!<\/p>\n<p>The Ultra training is ramping up a bit. \u00a0I had shared my training schedule a week or so ago. \u00a0Wednesday&#8217;s and Thursday&#8217;s are my &#8220;long run&#8221; days. \u00a0Seeing as today is Wednesday, that meant that I had a long run. \u00a0A very. long. run.<\/p>\n<p>It has been a toasty and humid day in Mississippi today. \u00a0That made running rather &#8220;soupy&#8221;. \u00a0Made you feel like you were treading water rather than running. \u00a0Not being one to complain (too much), I will admit that I rather enjoyed the soupy weather as opposed to the super cold weather we were having a week ago.<\/p>\n<p>Last Wednesday I ran in capri tights, long sleeve tech shirt, jacket, ear\/head band thingy and gloves. \u00a0And I was freezing! \u00a0Today I ran in shorts and a sports bra. \u00a0There is no figuring for Mississippi winters.<\/p>\n<p>I ran the first ten miles by myself. \u00a0Kept a pretty good pace, too! \u00a0After mile ten a friend of mine met up with me and we ran 12 more together. \u00a0That was fun! \u00a0She did not know if she could run the full distance I needed to finish my 22 miles but we got to talking and the next thing we knew, it was time to turn around and go back. \u00a0Cool Beans! She did not even realize she had gone that far! \u00a0Kudos to her!!!<\/p>\n<p>Remember now, I told you that Thursday is a long run day, too. \u00a0So, tomorrow bright and early I have another 10 or so miles to run again. \u00a0That&#8217;ll be pretty easy~I hope. \u00a0My legs are tired from today&#8217;s run. \u00a0That is the whole idea, though, to get you used to running on tired legs so that when race day arrives (March 1, 2014) and I have to run all 50 miles in 12 hours, I will be used to running on tired legs and theoretically will not give it a second thought.
