{"id":208,"date":"2012-06-04T20:17:44","date_gmt":"2012-06-04T20:17:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=208"},"modified":"2012-06-04T20:18:19","modified_gmt":"2012-06-04T20:18:19","slug":"needle-phobia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=208","title":{"rendered":"Needle Phobia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a060 min lifting at the &#8220;Y&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I am the owner of a &#8220;Puppy&#8221; and I am very proud of him.<\/p>\n<p>Paxton, like all other dogs has to make annual visits to the local Vet. \u00a0Before each visit, we &#8220;drain&#8221; him, put him outdoors to &#8220;do his duty&#8221; or &#8220;visit the grass&#8221; as it were. \u00a0When we arrive at the Vet&#8217;s office, we walk him again, just to make sure the bladder is empty and on the whole, Paxton is a good sport about the entire process. \u00a0But we never take into account one important fact: \u00a0Paxton is afraid of needles.<\/p>\n<p>Each time we go to the Vet, we end up with &#8220;Lake Paxton&#8221; on the floor. \u00a0He is as good as gold ~ until they come at him with that needle, then he lets loose. \u00a0Poor Puppy. \u00a0The last visit, they came at him with the needle, stopped, mopped the floor, tried again with the needle, stopped, mopped the floor, tried again and thought about stopping to mop and gave it up for a lost cause and just kept on going and gave him his shot.<\/p>\n<p>Which brings us to today. \u00a0We went through all the pre-Vet procedures with the visits outdoors here at home and at the Vet&#8217;s office. \u00a0Then we went through the door. \u00a0The Vet came at him with the needle but this time there was a difference. \u00a0She gave him a treat and then gave him his shot! \u00a0No &#8220;Lake Paxton!&#8221;. \u00a0No mop! \u00a0Success!!!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a060 min lifting at the &#8220;Y&#8221; I am the owner of a &#8220;Puppy&#8221; and I am very proud of him.
