Today’s Run: \u00a07.14 miles<\/p>\n

Road Trip!<\/p>\n

If you can remember, back on November 13th I mentioned that I drove to Tupelo, Mississippi and purchased a pair of running shoes. \u00a0I was excited about these shoes because I could not find a pair anywhere in the state! \u00a0I was desperately in need of a new pair of running shoes and located a pair an hour north of where I lived.<\/p>\n

The shoes had a very short life I am sad to say. \u00a0They lasted 120 miles. \u00a0Not very long at all. \u00a0Sale or no sale, those shoes should have lasted longer than 120 miles.<\/p>\n

So, my husband and I drove back to Tupelo, Mississippi after running group this morning.<\/p>\n

The shoe store, Trails and Treads, treated me very well. \u00a0They were as astounded at the condition of those shoes as I was. \u00a0They are wanting to order me a replacement pair but in the meantime, I need a pair of running shoes. \u00a0Just cannot put training on hold while waiting on shoes to arrive, can I?<\/p>\n

Enter, Hokas!<\/p>\n

Yes! \u00a0I bought a pair of Hokas.<\/p>\n

The Hokas feel TONS different from from my Brooks. \u00a0They are “supposed” to hold up quite a bit better, too. \u00a0They had better because they cost almost twice the amounts as a regularly priced pair of Brooks.<\/p>\n

Here is to keeping my fingers crossed. \u00a0I am walking around the house this afternoon getting used to the different feel of the Hokas and they will go on their trial run tomorrow morning.<\/p>\n

Here is a pic of the new shoes. \u00a0They are not “pretty” but they are supposed to make my feet very, very happy!<\/p>\n
