Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest Day<\/p>\n
‘Twas the day after Thanksgiving and all through the house…<\/p>\n
…you would find MFH (My Favorite Husband) in the hall bathroom fixing the leaking tub faucet! \u00a0YAY!<\/p>\n
This faucet started leaking nine(?) month ago. \u00a0At first it was just a drip. \u00a0Then it turned into a drip………………..drip. \u00a0I do not know how or when it happened but as of this morning it was a drip, drip, drip, drip, drip. \u00a0It was driving me nuts!<\/p>\n
MFH was hesitant to work on this project because of the shower wrap around. \u00a0He was afraid that this “little” project had the potential of turning into a very large and quite expensive big project.<\/p>\n
Today my husband has the day off from work. \u00a0I did not have to pull out my “honey-do” list. \u00a0He pulled it out for me and went right to work on the faucet.<\/p>\n
First he took of the handles and that led to a trip to Lowe’s. \u00a0Our faucet is a Delta brand faucet and he needed parts.<\/p>\n
Lowe’s did not have the exact part we needed. \u00a0Rats. \u00a0The Lowe’s plumbing guy assured us that a certain spring thing would solve our problem.<\/p>\n
And it did! \u00a0Cool Beans!<\/p>\n
I was able to pick out new handles and a new spout for the shower. \u00a0This was exciting!<\/p>\n
We came home and after fixing the drip, MFH installed the new handles and spout only to discover that I had selected the exact same thing that we already had! \u00a0Do not mess with success, I guess.<\/p>\n
So, now I do not hear a drip, drip, drip, drip, drip coming from the hall bath while I am sitting at my laptop.<\/p>\n
I consider this a profitable trip to Lowe’s and a judicious spending of our time this morning. \u00a0Project complete.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
