Today’s Run: \u00a07.10 miles<\/p>\n
6.7 \u00a0That is all I am. \u00a06.7 lousy points. \u00a0Out of 10.<\/p>\n
I have lost a bazzilion and a half pounds over the past three years. \u00a0I have run three half marathons and one full marathon. \u00a0And all I get is a lousy 6.7!?! \u00a0Harsh.<\/p>\n
What happened is today I went to the gas station. \u00a0We had ice cream in the freezer and I thought I would surprise my husband with a bottle of root beer (he loves root beer floats). \u00a0As I was walking into the gas station, there was a group of men giving women their numerical value as they walked in.<\/p>\n
I got a 6.7.<\/p>\n
Model material I am not but I think I deserve more than that.<\/p>\n
Maybe I have an inflated opinion of myself. \u00a0I do not know. \u00a0It just seems a little…low.<\/p>\n
Low in the sense that grown men are still degrading women by attaching a numerical value to their appearance and low in that I think I deserve a higher number than that!<\/p>\n
Do guys ever grow up?<\/p>\n
So, I am home now, licking my wounds. \u00a0I am NOT eating, just in case you want to know. \u00a0No emotional eating today. \u00a0I am too bummed for that.<\/p>\n
On a happier note, I had a positively terrific run this morning! \u00a0YAY for that. \u00a0I was all bundled up against the 21 F temps and NE wind. \u00a0It made me pick ’em up and put ’em down pretty quick. \u00a0Let us hear it for cooler running weather!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
