{"id":2015,"date":"2013-11-05T20:09:13","date_gmt":"2013-11-06T02:09:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=2015"},"modified":"2013-11-05T20:09:13","modified_gmt":"2013-11-06T02:09:13","slug":"a-half-marathon-just-for-fun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=2015","title":{"rendered":"A Half Marathon Just For Fun!?!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a0Rest Day<\/p>\n<p>Yes, I signed up for a half marathon. \u00a0Just for grins. \u00a0It is one week away. \u00a0November 16, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Have I trained for this Race? \u00a0Well, not officially. \u00a0Will it be hard? \u00a0Probably.<\/p>\n<p>I just completed a marathon two weeks ago so I am kind of already trained for this race. \u00a0Plus, this Saturday, I am running 10 miles with an acquaintance. \u00a0So, I sort of will be trained for this race.<\/p>\n<p>This course will be relatively flat. \u00a0I have never, ever run a flat race! \u00a0Sounds marvelous!!! \u00a0I have three hours to complete the course. \u00a0Unless something unforeseen occurs, I should (or I should better) be able to do this.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first weekend of training for the Ultra. \u00a0The Ultra is on March 1, 2014. \u00a0This is one of two races that I will run with people. \u00a0The rest of my training (my long runs) I will be by myself. \u00a0So, having people around will be fun! \u00a0My other race where I will be with people will be on New Year&#8217;s Day! \u00a0What a perfect way to start the year!!!<\/p>\n<p>Maybe I need my head examined but I think this will be fun! \u00a0A Half Marathon on the fly. \u00a0Two years ago, when I began running, who would have thought I would be able to consider doing something like this!?! \u00a0Crazy!!! \u00a0But that is the facts.
