Today’s Run: \u00a05.50 miles<\/p>\n
I need a blog topic today and was hoping y’all could help me out. \u00a0I did not write a blog yesterday because I was flat out of ideas. \u00a0I guess that comes with dull country living.<\/p>\n
My husband suggested that I write about winterizing my chickens. \u00a0I do not do anything to winterize the chickens. \u00a0It does not get cold enough here to HAVE to do anything for winter so that idea was a bust. \u00a0Same goes for the honey bees.<\/p>\n
However, I do have to feed the honey bees during the winter. \u00a0Bees will fly\/forage any time it is over 50 F. \u00a0That means a great deal of our winter our bees are buzzing around, looking for food when there is nothing in bloom. \u00a0Poor bees. \u00a0We feed them a 50\/50 mixture of cane table sugar and water. \u00a0They love it~ plus it keeps them from starving to death. \u00a0We want healthy bees come spring.<\/p>\n
I have one more week of play time with my running and then I being training for the Ultra. \u00a0I’m getting rather nervous about that. \u00a0I think the thing that has me the most apprehensive is the weekend with the 30 mile run on Saturday and the very next day another 15 miles. \u00a0That sounds almost (mind the word Almost) un-doable. \u00a0But, we will cross that bridge when we get to it.<\/p>\n
MFH (My Favorite Husband) is working on our son’s truck right now. \u00a0It is rusted out underneath. \u00a0BAD. His truck came from up north where they use a lot of salt on the roads in the winter. \u00a0He has the bed off of the truck and is dismantling it and replacing parts bit by bit. \u00a0It will practically be a brand new truck by the time he is done with it!<\/p>\n
Our weather has been perfect! \u00a0It was 37 F. sunny, and a light breeze when I went on my run this morning. \u00a0I was chilly! \u00a0It was wonderful!!! \u00a0After this super hot summer we had and training for the marathon through all that heat, it was a joy to be chilly!!!<\/p>\n
And FYI, my life is anything but dull. \u00a0Country living suits me. \u00a0I like the structure of the chores. \u00a0The bees. \u00a0The chickens. \u00a0The dog and cats. \u00a0My husband…I like it all.<\/p>\n
