The holidays are almost here. \u00a0Can you believe this!?! \u00a057 shopping days until Christmas! \u00a0Have your started your Christmas shopping yet? Me, neither.<\/p>\n
We have been so focused on completing our marathon that the Holiday season has just snuck up on us. \u00a0I think my marathon and accompanying vacation will be my Christmas present. \u00a0Either that or a new air conditioner\/heater since ours bit the dust right before our trip. \u00a0Merry Christmas, right?<\/p>\n
I love the Holiday’s! \u00a0I am a kid at heart. \u00a0I love the giving and the receiving. \u00a0It is an exciting time!!! \u00a0We have an extensive list of people for whom we purchase gifts. \u00a0When it comes to seasonal cards, though, I am a Scrooge.<\/p>\n
Seasonal cards are a rip-off. \u00a0Told you I was a Scrooge! They are so terribly expensive and then the postage! You might be one of those people who do a annual letter. \u00a0How many people read those or read the card or send you a card in reply??? \u00a0Not enough for me to warrant the expense. \u00a0So, no cards. \u00a0Scrooge, Scrooge, Scrooge. \u00a0That is as far as my Scroogieness goes, though.<\/p>\n
I love the Holiday’s! \u00a0Did I mention that!?!<\/p>\n
Thanksgiving is a trail run for the cooking of Christmas dinner. \u00a0If you mess up the turkey or ham on Thanksgiving, all is forgiven. \u00a0BUT, you must have the Christmas dinner spot on. \u00a0Everyone will remember the year that Aunt Melinda burnt the Christmas turkey! \u00a0So, I love Thanksgiving, too! \u00a0Good food. \u00a0Great time with family and friends. \u00a0All trials for the BIG DAY!<\/p>\n

Whatever your plans are for this Holiday season, may you remember the real reason we celebrate. \u00a0It is not a cute jolly old man in a red suit. \u00a0It is the birth of our Savior. \u00a0Without Him we do not have a reason to celebrate.<\/p>\n
So, all of us really do have a reason to love the holidays. \u00a0May yours be extra special!<\/p>\n
