Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest Day<\/p>\n
It is a good thing that I do not have an ounce of O.C.D. in me. \u00a0A very, very good thing. \u00a0If I had O.C.D. tendencies, I would be able, in the blink of an eye, to tell you that there is only 6 days,13 hours, 3 min and 00 seconds until the race. \u00a0But seeing as I am not O.C.D. we will not have that discussion.<\/p>\n
Seriously, though, we only have two more days until we begin our travels.<\/p>\n
Our son, who is a Sr. at MSU (Mississippi State University) has graciously agreed to live at our house for us while we are gone. \u00a0He is going to babysit the chickens and the cats. \u00a0The dog is going to the doggie hotel for the 10 days we will be gone.<\/p>\n
For those who follow what we will be doing, here is a brief look at the next week or so:<\/p>\n
We fly to Connecticut on Wednesday. \u00a0We stay there through Thursday.<\/p>\n
Friday: \u00a0We drive to Boston. \u00a0We are going to pick up our daughter who is flying in from Denver to be with us for the remainder of the trip. We then drive to Bethel, Maine to the resort where we will be staying for the rest of the trip.<\/p>\n
Saturday: \u00a0We drive to Bar Harbor, Maine for the race. \u00a0We have packet pick up to do and we would like to drive the course.<\/p>\n
Sunday: \u00a0We run for 6 hours or so and then drive back to Bethel, Maine.<\/p>\n
Monday-Thursday we recuperate in Bethel and play tourist all around Maine.<\/p>\n
Friday: \u00a0We drop our daughter off in Boston and she flies back to Denver. \u00a0We drive back to Connecticut.<\/p>\n
Saturday: \u00a0We fly home and relieve our son of taking care of the chickens and the cats. \u00a0Then we collapse! \u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
This is the longest vacation my husband and I have ever had in the 28+ years we have been married. \u00a0We are really looking forward to this. \u00a0It is going to be busy but a great time!!!<\/p>\n
So, really, two more days and the festivities begin!!!<\/p>\n
