{"id":1940,"date":"2013-10-07T13:31:07","date_gmt":"2013-10-07T18:31:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1940"},"modified":"2013-10-07T13:40:47","modified_gmt":"2013-10-07T18:40:47","slug":"cause-im-leaving-on-a-jet-plane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1940","title":{"rendered":"Cause I&#8217;m Leaving, On A Jet Plane&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a04.22 miles<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=AM3Cf_eofpo\">\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"625\" height=\"469\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/AM3Cf_eofpo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The only thing left to do is finish up this weeks training, board the dog and hop a plane!<\/p>\n<p>We are on our last full week of tapering before our Marathon. \u00a0For those of you who are new to my blog, my husband and I are running the Mount Desert Island Marathon in Bar Harbor, Maine on October 20, 2013. \u00a0We are really looking forward to this.<\/p>\n<p>We ran our last &#8220;long&#8221; run this past Saturday. \u00a0It was supposed to be 12 miles but it was a little bit longer than that. \u00a0Not by much, mind you but it was a little bit longer.<\/p>\n<p>It was rather warm Saturday morning. \u00a0When we completed our run it was 74 F. and 76% humidity. \u00a0It was beginning to be a little uncomfortable BUT it was an awesome run!!! \u00a0Why???<\/p>\n<p>Because, they put down asphalt on the new highway last week! \u00a0Brand new asphalt. \u00a0Our feet went, &#8220;Springy, springy, springy&#8230;&#8221; down the road. \u00a0We had &#8220;Happy Feet!&#8221;. \u00a0Totally and Completely Excellent!<\/p>\n<p>Seeing as we are on our last full week of marathon training, I feel obligated to tell you that we are only 12 days out from race day. \u00a0Wow!!! \u00a0I have been counting down the days for 4 months and all of a sudden, Boom! \u00a0Here it is!!!<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Trust my Training.&#8221; \u00a0Trust my training.&#8221; \u00a0 Trust my training.&#8221; \u00a0This is my mantra for the next week and probably through the race itself~that and &#8220;Kill the Hills&#8221;. \u00a0This is supposed to be a hilly course.<\/p>\n<p>Everything in my mind is a jumble of emotions.<\/p>\n<p>Can a person feel so many different things at the same time? \u00a0I expect I will probably cry when I cross the finish line. \u00a0But that is okay, right?<\/p>\n<p>Fingers Crossed. \u00a0Wish us luck. \u00a0Rub your lucky rabbit&#8217;s foot for us. \u00a0Thanks!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a04.22 miles \u00a0 The only thing left to do is finish up this weeks training, board the dog and hop a plane!
