Today’s Run: \u00a05.20 miles<\/p>\n
There is a “Senior’s” group that meets once a month at our church. \u00a0They are called the “Happy Hearts”. \u00a0I have been invited to their luncheons even though technically I am not a “senior”. \u00a0I may be close to being a “senior” but have about five more years before I can get my discounts at local stores and my free coffee at Mc Donald’s.<\/p>\n
The Happy Hearts are a young group at heart even if the calendar says other wise. \u00a0They are a fun loving group of people. \u00a0Uplifting in spirit. \u00a0Edifying. \u00a0I truly enjoy their company. \u00a0There is one small problem~scheduling. \u00a0Every time they have a meeting, there is a conflict on my calendar for that particular day.<\/p>\n
A couple of weeks ago, the lady from Happy Hearts called me. \u00a0After the pleasantries, she asked me what I was doing on October 8th. \u00a0I checked the calendar and said, “Nothing.”<\/p>\n
“Oh! \u00a0Good!” \u00a0She said. \u00a0“I would like you and your husband to come and be our special speakers for this months Happy Hearts meeting!” \u00a0She sounded so pleasant and chirrupy. \u00a0How do you say “No” to someone like that!?!<\/p>\n
I told her I would discuss it with MFH (My Favorite Husband) and get back to her.<\/p>\n
He said, “Sure!”<\/p>\n
So now, my husband and I are trying to put together a “presentation” for Happy Hearts for Oct. 8th. \u00a0We are supposed to talk about “ourselves.” \u00a0Things that people would find “interesting”.<\/p>\n
