Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest Day<\/p>\n
I am addicted~~~to Little Debbie Nutty Bars. \u00a0I am ashamed to admit this, but it is true.<\/p>\n
My husband and I first began eating them after meals to help me with my chocolate cravings when I began losing weight. \u00a0It has spiraled out of control.<\/p>\n
Little Debbie Nutty Bars are the elixir of life. \u00a0If they were a beverage, I would say they are the nectar of the gods. \u00a0Ambrosia. \u00a0Heavenly food. All of this and more are my Nutty Bars!<\/p>\n
After each meal (excluding breakfast) my husband and I split a package of Nutty Bars. \u00a0He eats his quickly. \u00a0I savor mine. \u00a0The dog watches EVERY bite I take. \u00a0Drools even. \u00a0Sometimes I share, sometimes I make sure he watches me take that very last bite. \u00a0I have a mean streak in me, I guess.<\/p>\n
BUT…<\/p>\n
We ran out of Nutty Bars a week ago! \u00a0Oh, NO!!!<\/p>\n
I have gone an entire week without a Nutty Bar. \u00a0At first I had some serious withdraw issues. \u00a0I went through the cupboards…there must be a box in here I did not see. \u00a0No box. \u00a0Then, I tried to find a substitute. \u00a0My husband very graciously “found” a Cadbury dark chocolate bar. \u00a0I ate a few squares. \u00a0It was good and everything. \u00a0It just was not the same.<\/p>\n
Tonight, for dinner, we had scrambled eggs. \u00a0I ate about half of mine and gave the rest to my “pudgy puppy” Paxton. \u00a0My heart just has not been in eating. \u00a0I really need to buy some Nutty Bars. They are the perfect ending to a very nice meal.<\/p>\n
They really are a nice dessert. \u00a0Not too big of a dessert. \u00a0Controlled portion size (moderation and all that) and they are healthy! \u00a0Protein from the peanut butter and calcium from the milk chocolate.<\/p>\n
We will be heading to the store in the next couple of days. \u00a0The thing on the tippy top of my shopping list will be…you guessed it, Nutty Bars. \u00a0AND we will be buying an extra box. \u00a0This week has been H___. \u00a0 \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
