Urban Dictionary: \u00a0Playing Hookie:<\/p>\n

” A day in which liberty is taken upon oneself to exclude themself from school or work obligations while, most likely, pretending to be sick or having a death in the family. Usually this time is spent with a significant other (i.e. hookie fornookie<\/a>), a sports activity (i.e. golf or playstation), or just plain sitting on ones ass all day editing & writing definintions for modern slang words over the internet. Commonly referred to as “playing hookie”.”<\/p>\n

I played hookie from doing my blog post yesterday. \u00a0I did not have school or work obligations. \u00a0I was not sick and no-one died. \u00a0I was just tired. \u00a0Plain and simple.<\/p>\n

Today I am going to try and redeem myself. \u00a0I am going to tell you a story about a pic. \u00a0A pic of me running.<\/p>\n

This past January my husband and I were running on a favorite route. \u00a0We have not run this route but a few time since because it is 6 miles of gravel and my foot has been a little tender~hence, we have not run on any gravel while it heals.<\/p>\n

While we were running on the route, my husband took my pic. \u00a0A pic of my backside…not my most flattering side but it was a cool pic because it was a very foggy morning and the lighting was pretty cool and….it just turned out nice. \u00a0I have used this pic on my FB page and it is on my profile at MFP.<\/p>\n

Well, I am on a FB running group and we were talking one day about running routes, etc. so I posted the pic. \u00a0Unbeknownst to me, the head guru of the page saw the pic and decided to use it (with my permission) as a motivational pic for the running group. It will be posted tomorrow for the running groups and FB page! \u00a0How awesome is that!?!<\/p>\n

I am showing it to you a day early…Mum’s the word!<\/p>\n
