Today’s Run: \u00a020.50 miles<\/p>\n
Today we ran. \u00a0And ran. \u00a0And ran…20.50 miles we ran. \u00a0For four hours and 30 minutes we ran. \u00a0And then we stopped.<\/p>\n
What an absolutely perfect morning to run. \u00a0It was 58 F. with a light breeze. \u00a0We hit the road (finally) around 5:00 am. \u00a0We intended to begin earlier but had to set out water stops along our route and that took up more time than we had planned. \u00a0Those water stops sure came in handy and we were very glad we had taken the time to set them out before we began our run.<\/p>\n
The stars were bright! \u00a0We almost did not need our flashlights when we were out in the country.<\/p>\n
BUT~the dogs.<\/p>\n
There is a leash law in the county in which we were running. \u00a0People seem to think that the leash law pertains to everybody’s dog EXCEPT theirs. \u00a0We added close to a half hour walking time trying to shake off dogs chasing us this morning. \u00a0End rant.<\/p>\n
We kept up a great cadence. \u00a0Same speed almost the entire route! \u00a0Consistency!<\/p>\n
But, now. \u00a0Now that I have had a time to sit and take a load off of my feet, I am pooped. \u00a0Pretty soon, I have to go do “bedtime for birdies” (putting the chickens to bed). \u00a0The dog will need out and the cats will be ready to go out also. \u00a0They prowl all night outdoors.<\/p>\n
So, that means, Up and at ’em!<\/p>\n
