{"id":1878,"date":"2013-09-12T12:15:52","date_gmt":"2013-09-12T17:15:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1878"},"modified":"2013-09-12T12:16:38","modified_gmt":"2013-09-12T17:16:38","slug":"ultra-running","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1878","title":{"rendered":"Ultra Running"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a05.20 miles<\/p>\n<p>26.2 miles is a long way to run. \u00a0That is the distance of a marathon. \u00a0So, why in heavens name, without even having completed my first marathon would I even consider running an Ultra? \u00a0Dunno&#8230;but I am.<\/p>\n<p>There are certain criteria that must be in place for me to consider an Ultra. \u00a0First of all, the distance. \u00a050 miles. \u00a0The time allowed to complete said 50 miles. \u00a012 hours (very generous). \u00a0The location. \u00a0Here is the tickly spot~I wanted it to be in my home state. \u00a0I did not want to travel again. \u00a0Too expensive. \u00a0Time frame. \u00a0Soon, I am almost all the way trained up for an Ultra already and I did not want to start from scratch.<\/p>\n<p>Guess what I found!?!<\/p>\n<p>Right here in Mississippi~ a 50 mile Ultra, in March, 12 hour time limit, 15 week training schedule~~~Perfect!<\/p>\n<p>Now, all I have to do is finish up this marathon! \u00a036 days!!!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a05.20 miles 26.2 miles is a long way to run. \u00a0That is the distance of a marathon. \u00a0So, why in heavens name, without even having completed my first marathon would I even consider running an Ultra? \u00a0Dunno&#8230;but I am.
