Today’s Run: \u00a04.22 miles<\/p>\n
Today’s run was a toughie! \u00a0It was not that hot out or even that humid. \u00a0It was just difficult. \u00a0I think it was because we ran so hard yesterday. \u00a0We have tomorrow off from running to give us time to rest up for Saturday’s long run.. Saturday will be a “light” long run day of only 10 miles.<\/p>\n
Well…We officially have 86 days until my very first marathon! \u00a0I am so excited and so scared and so excited and so terrified! \u00a0I can hardly wait and I hope it never gets here~all of that at the same time. \u00a0Is it possible to feel so many emotions all at the same time!?!<\/p>\n
We, well I, am having the time of my life training for this race. \u00a0I think my husband is tolerating it fairly well. \u00a0He was apprehensive about signing on for this race because he has run two already and he knows how much of a challenge race day will be. \u00a0I say, “Bring it on!!!”<\/p>\n
I wonder how many Gu’s I will go through on race day? \u00a0I know the port-a-potty’s are every 5 miles. \u00a0The water stops are every two miles. \u00a0I know that at mile 19 there is a “significant hill”.<\/p>\n
That significant hill has me a little worried but they assure us that the breathtaking view will take our minds off the challenge of the hill. \u00a0Uh-huh. \u00a0I do not think that that will be the case so we are getting some hill work in to prepare us for mile 19.<\/p>\n
Wow~86 days. \u00a0Kind of blows the mind. \u00a0That really is not very far off! \u00a0I think of all the long runs ahead of us. \u00a0I think of all the smaller runs ahead of us. \u00a0The piles of laundry of stinky, sweaty running clothes.<\/p>\n
I wonder what I will wear on race day. \u00a0That is something important to take into consideration. \u00a0You want something light. \u00a0Something that will not even think about chaffing. \u00a0And of course, something pretty! \u00a0I am a woman after all…<\/p>\n
I wonder if Bar Harbor, Maine has a Waffle House? \u00a0We always have a pre-race waffle. \u00a0Google is my friend. I will find out.<\/p>\n
All these things running through my head. \u00a0I am starting to mentally prepare for this race. \u00a0I feel like a hamster on a wheel. \u00a0Round and round and round go my thoughts.<\/p>\n
