Today’s Run: \u00a03.50 miles<\/p>\n
I took my dog for a walk late this afternoon.<\/p>\n
My dog, Paxton is a pudgy puppy. \u00a0Each afternoon I try to take him out for a walk. \u00a0We do not go very far these days just because it is so hot. \u00a0What we have been doing is going on three or more short walks. \u00a0This way Paxton gets his exercise and does not over heat.<\/p>\n
This evening, Paxton got his leash out of the closet (yes, he is responsible for getting his own leash)~while he was doing that, I put on bug repellent. \u00a0I clipped on his leash and we were off!<\/p>\n
We went West. \u00a0This direction is a dead end and is a shorter route than if we go East. \u00a0So, I guess you could say we walked off into the sunset.<\/p>\n
As we reached the end of the street, I noticed about a zillion maybe a bazillion butterflies. \u00a0They were not very big and they were busy. \u00a0Flutter, flutter, flutter. \u00a0You know how butterflies are.<\/p>\n
We got to the end of the road and all of a sudden they attacked! \u00a0I was surrounded by butterflies! \u00a0And they were not just fluttering around me, they were landing on me, my clothes, my hair…and this is with wearing bug spray!<\/p>\n
Are butterflies bugs?<\/p>\n
So, we just kept on walking. \u00a0I was brushing the attack butterflies out of my hair and off my clothes all the way back home.<\/p>\n
Paxton was oblivious. \u00a0Not a one landed on him or fluttered around him. \u00a0Strange, that.<\/p>\n
I think next time I take him for a walk, we will go East. \u00a0That was just too strange.<\/p>\n
