{"id":1661,"date":"2013-06-15T12:29:05","date_gmt":"2013-06-15T17:29:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1661"},"modified":"2013-06-15T12:29:05","modified_gmt":"2013-06-15T17:29:05","slug":"i-feel-awful","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1661","title":{"rendered":"I Feel Awful!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a010.50 miles<\/p>\n<p>I killed one of my chickens today~on purpose!<\/p>\n<p>She had been sick a few weeks ago. \u00a0I had brought her into the house and put her in an old rabbit hutch. \u00a0After some chicken medication, she came around and went back to live with the other hens.<\/p>\n<p>This past Tuesday(?) my husband was moving the chicken tractor and accidentally lowered the tractor onto her foot. \u00a0She has been eating and drinking but unable to go up and down the ladder to roost. \u00a0We would pick her up at night and place her in a nesting box to sleep and then take her back downstairs for the day. \u00a0Things were going great!<\/p>\n<p>We just came home from running group. \u00a0The chickens were raising a ruckus! \u00a0I went down to see what was going on. \u00a0There she was, laying on her side. \u00a0She was blinking and trying to flap her wings but that was all she was capable of doing. \u00a0Poor baby!!!<\/p>\n<p>My husband brought her up to the garage and I wrung her neck to put her out of her misery. \u00a0Then I cried. \u00a0I feel awful!!! \u00a0Poor chicken.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a010.50 miles I killed one of my chickens today~on purpose!
