Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest Day<\/p>\n

Paxton is my dog. \u00a0He goes by many monikers. Paxton, Paxton the Destroyer, \u00a0Mr. Enthusiasm and Bozo. \u00a0The funny thing is, he answers to all of the above. \u00a0The one that fits him best is “Bozo”.<\/p>\n

Paxton is three years old (this past March 6). \u00a0He is a Boxer~and is quite large for his breed. \u00a0Both in height and in girth. \u00a0Presently, he is on a doggie diet and is being tested for doggie diabetes\/thyroid problems. He is a big boy. \u00a0Most of the time we like him, too!<\/p>\n

Three years ago when we got Paxton, I got sick. \u00a0I went toxic on one of my medications. \u00a0I forgot how to eat. \u00a0The only thing I could do was drink through a straw (funny, that). \u00a0So, it fell to my husband to take care of the puppy.<\/p>\n

How Paxton got his name, Bozo…<\/p>\n

My husband is not a pet person and was overly enthusiastic about house training a puppy and worrying about me but being the awesome guy that he is, bailed me out with the dog. \u00a0When I was getting better, Paxton was in his crate. \u00a0I could not remember if we had one, two or three dogs. \u00a0I was seeing three dogs in the crate but could only remember having one! Then my husband said something along the lines of “Bozo, knock it off!”.<\/p>\n

“Ah!” \u00a0We have one dog and his name is Bozo! \u00a0Somehow that seemed fitting. \u00a0So, I started calling the dog Bozo because I thought that was his name. \u00a0It was probably a couple of weeks before I learned the dog’s name was Paxton. \u00a0By then, “Bozo” had stuck.<\/p>\n

Paxton has a name tag now. \u00a0It has my name, address, phone number, etc. and where the his name goes it reads: \u00a0Paxton\/Bozo. \u00a0Poor dog.<\/p>\n
