Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest Day<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It is raining today. 80% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. \u00a0Some of them are supposed to be severe with 50-60 mph winds, hail…not the weather in which to go fishing. \u00a0In a aluminum boat. In the middle of a lake. \u00a0Nope. \u00a0Bad idea.<\/p>\n<p>That is exactly what my husband and son are doing…Men.<\/p>\n<p>It is not like I have anything against fishing mind you. \u00a0I enjoy fishing. \u00a0I am not very good at it, but it is relaxing. \u00a0A quiet, reflective time. \u00a0Nice.<\/p>\n<p>When I was very little my Granddaddy would take me fishing. \u00a0He would not tolerate any noise, talking, nothing. \u00a0It was his theory that it would scare the fish away. \u00a0(He also did not allow singing at the dinner table~that was thanking the devil for your food. \u00a0I loved him very much.)<\/p>\n<p>Back to the guys today, though. \u00a0It started raining around 1:30 this afternoon. \u00a0They decided to go anyway. \u00a0Now I am going to fret and stew until they get home…safe and sound.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe they will catch something! \u00a0My son went last weekend while we were in Colorado. \u00a0He took my BIL and nephew with him. \u00a0They had a great time and caught a Large Mouth Bass. \u00a0Good for them!<\/p>\n<p>(I cook Bass in a pocket made from foil. \u00a0Pour in 1\/4 C white wine and add a bit of Tarragon. \u00a0Steam it for just a little while in the oven…Mmmm!!! \u00a0 And easy!)<\/p>\n<p>Today is a rest day for me. \u00a0Yesterday I logged a \u00a0little over 40,000 steps on my Fitbit. \u00a0That equaled out to over 18.50 miles. \u00a0I was very tired last night and determined that today would be a rest day~so I have been a lazy daisy today. \u00a0 Tomorrow I will hit the ground running~literally.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest Day It is raining today. 80% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. \u00a0Some of them are supposed to be severe with 50-60 mph winds, hail…not the weather in which to go fishing. \u00a0In a aluminum boat.
