Today’s Run: \u00a04.50 miles<\/p>\n
We returned home from our trip to Colorado~pillowless.<\/p>\n
Our sole purpose (aside from visiting our daughter) was to drive a car out to Colorado to give to our daughter. \u00a0She had been driving a 1983 Chevy S10. \u00a0It had a multitude of ailments and we were genuinely concerned for her safety with her driving around the Front Range of Colorado and on her many trips into Denver proper. So, we purchased a used Honda Accord (it’s red) and packed our stuff and headed West.<\/p>\n
Before we left the house, I remembered that our daughter does not have any extra pillows. \u00a0Seeing as we were staying with her, I decided that we would take ours and leave them with her so she would have a few extras. \u00a0This would, however, leave us without any ourselves. \u00a0(I had an ulterior motive, we needed new pillows, too).<\/p>\n
She tried to talk us into taking our pillows home. \u00a0She felt guilty about keeping them but there was no way I was going to walk around DIA (Denver Int’l Airport) and the Dallas\/Ft. Worth Airport carrying all our luggage and hauling 4 large bed pillows with me! \u00a0Nope. \u00a0They were hers.<\/p>\n
We were pretty tired by the time we got home last night. \u00a0We had to get pillows, though! \u00a0So, off we trudged to Belk Department Store. \u00a0They had had a sale over the weekend~but it was over. \u00a0Rats. \u00a0Imagine our surprise when they had extended the sale and we were able to purchase our pillows on sale…and then we received an additional 20% off coupon from a lady in the checkout that she was unable to use. \u00a0Cool Beans!!! \u00a0We came out on the good side of that transaction.<\/p>\n
Slept like a baby!<\/p>\n
