Today’s Run: Three hours mowing.<\/p>\n
Black and White perfume. \u00a0Not sold in any retail store. \u00a0Most often found in rural areas~especially in the early morning hours when we are out on our run.<\/p>\n
What is it??? \u00a0Pepe’ La Pew. \u00a0Skunk air freshener. \u00a0Due to it’s unique fragrance, we elect to call it Black and White Perfume.<\/p>\n
My husband and I startled a skunk a week ago during our early morning run. \u00a0We were fortunate. \u00a0He\/She waddled away at skunk tip-top speed…tail held high. \u00a0We literally held our breath. \u00a0But, luck was on our side that morning and we proceeded with caution. \u00a0No skunk de la pew that time.<\/p>\n
We often encounter the remnants of a skunk encounter on our runs. \u00a0There is a lot of wild life where we live and they are always getting in the way of our little striped friends. \u00a0Skunks are not often road remnants. \u00a0That is a good thing. \u00a0I always feel bad for them when that happens.<\/p>\n
We are concerned about our bee hives because skunks really like the bees~not the honey~the bees themselves. \u00a0So, when we open the door in the mornings and smell that distinctive aroma, we check on the bees. The skunks will leave all your bees dead at the entrance of the hive. \u00a0I think they…well, it is gross, so we will just leave that alone.<\/p>\n
So, anyway, Black and White Perfume. \u00a0It is the scent of country living at times. \u00a0As long as you step carefully, you should not end up wearing it!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
