{"id":1545,"date":"2013-05-13T16:08:40","date_gmt":"2013-05-13T21:08:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1545"},"modified":"2013-05-13T16:08:40","modified_gmt":"2013-05-13T21:08:40","slug":"the-silo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=1545","title":{"rendered":"The Silo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a06.11 miles<\/p>\n<p>We ran &#8220;The Silo&#8221; route today. \u00a0This was a real treat due to the fact that the roads were dry enough (finally) to allow us to run this route.<\/p>\n<p>This has been a very wet Spring in Mississippi. \u00a0We are well prepared for all this rain now. \u00a0We have a boat. \u00a0We have\u00a0life jackets. \u00a0We are prepared! \u00a0But all the rain has limited where we can go on our runs.<\/p>\n<p>Living in the country like we do, has it&#8217;s perks. \u00a0It has one major drawback and that is that there are a lot of gravel roads. \u00a0Not very well maintained gravel roads. \u00a0When it rains, the road bed turns into a mushy mess and that makes it a difficult surface on which to run. \u00a0We \u00a0have had to limit our runs to a small portion of the\u00a0surrounding\u00a0roads that are asphalt. \u00a0Not a lot of variety.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, we have gone three days without rain and we took advantage of that and ran &#8220;The Silo Route&#8221;! \u00a0How much fun!!! \u00a0It is six miles round trip. \u00a0Part asphalt. \u00a0Part gravel. \u00a0Lots of hills. \u00a0Good fun! \u00a0It was refreshing to get to do something a little different. \u00a0We just run a little over three miles~until we reach the silo and then turn around a go home. \u00a0Simple!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?attachment_id=1546\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1546\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1546\" alt=\"IMG00826-20130513-0906\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG00826-20130513-0906.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG00826-20130513-0906.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG00826-20130513-0906-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG00826-20130513-0906-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a06.11 miles We ran &#8220;The Silo&#8221; route today. \u00a0This was a real treat due to the fact that the roads were dry enough (finally) to allow us to run this route.
